Mine is hypersensitive and acne-prone, though I’m long past my teenage years. It also has a tendency to flare up when the weather is extremely hot. Which is every CNY. So when I heard that the P+ Phyto Laser with Radiance Light could target acne and scarring, even on sensitive skin, my interest was piqued.
What’s more, NOVU Aesthetics, which provides the treatment, promises none of the skin peeling and downtime typically associated with lasers. Here’s how I felt about treatment.
Gentler on the skin
I learn from my therapist at the outlet in Parkson Sunway Pyramid that this particular laser works differently from ablative lasers. Those remove the top layer of skin tissue, which translates into pain, discomfort and downtime.
However, non-ablative lasers like P+ Phyto Laser heat the skin beneath the surface. This makes it gentle enough to treat a wide variety of skin types. At NOVU, it’s paired with Radiance Light, which is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment. It delivers a shower of polychromatic broad spectrum light pulses, giving skin a brighter and healthier glow.
The P+ Phyto Laser laser, meanwhile, claims to lighten the appearance of pigmentation, promote skin rejuvenation, refine skin texture, and reduce the appearance of fine liens and wrinkles.
So, did it work on my skin?
