Industri hiburan di Korea Selatan cukup sibuk pada penghujung tahun dengan acara tahunan majlis penganugerahan yang diadakan secara back to back oleh stesen televisyen di sana bagi memberi penghargaan buat artis yang terlibat sepanjang tahun. Drama TV mana yang cemerlang pada 2016?
2016 tidak kurang hebatnya menyaksikan bintang-bintang yang mewarnai K-Drama, program hiburan dan juga artist K-pop hadir dalam pelbagai acara yang telah diatur bermula hari sebelum Krismas sehingga ambang tahun baru 2017. Kesemua acara terbahagi kepada tiga iaitu majlis penganugerahan K-Drama oleh stesen tv buat semua drama yang disiarkan. Entertainment Awards pula adalah majlis penganugerahan buat penghibur dalam rancangan tv dalam bentuk variasi seperti pengacara, pelawak dan bintang yang terbabit dalam program terbitan stesen tv itu.
Bagi kategori muzik dan K-pop pula hanya diadakan festival muzik berbanding acara penganugerahan yang dihentikan beberapa tahun lalu bagi acara hujung tahun. Majlis penganugerahan muzik kini hanyalah pada rancangan mingguan serta anjuran MNet & Golden Disc Award yang diadakan lebih awal.
Peminat K-Wave kini juga berpeluang untuk menonton kesemua majlis hujung tahun ini sama ada secara live atau siaran tertunda dengan sarikata berbanding dulu hanya melalui laman web streaming. Saluran KBS World, One HD, Oh!K dan tvN berlumba-lumba untuk memuatkan acara gilang gemilang ini dalam slot rancangan tv menjelang tahun baru juga.
